This week, it's Buffoonery vs. Death on the no-holds-barred cage match of podcasting that is Etcetera. I don't want to give too much away, but let me say this … talking about taking a dirt nap has never been so fun. I actually spewed coffee.

Join me and Matt, along with Fancy Geoff, Zondervan Mark, and the always hilarious Marshall brothers (Dorsey kills me) as we bid farewell to Falwell and then get to planning our ideal deaths.

And speaking of kicking the bucket, pray that Sharon doesn't become worm food any time soon. She's still sick and couldn't make the show again.

So, we are getting TV shows adapted from commercials now? I guess producers have officially run out of ideas. I guess this is the way things are going so lets help them with some new commercial adaptations.

-One based on the Verizon guy called "can you hear me now?" What a riveting half hour of television that will be….
the dialog will be amazing…. Can you hear me now?… Can you hear me now?
-One based on the Apple vs Windows guys. This may just be the new odd couple… just think of the zany adventures these 2 will have.

Anyone else have any other ideas?

I always get the credit for being funny, but you have to admit, Senor Jefe had the best jokes today ("smoking cigarettes and watching porn?"). Credit where credit's due…

The Marshall brothers are a riot, especially the cute one!

Something that struck me as Erik was trying to explain why it's important to be nice and make it up to people you'll see in heaven…as he was describing how your level of care/reconciliation/treatment of people increases when you know you have to spend time with them later, it made me think of how so many people solve that little moral dilemna by just reasoning that people who don't think/believe exactly as they do *obviously* won't be in heaven. It's a function of the Tribal Mindset that I believe Jesus was trying to get people away from. If you approach everyone as though you'll potentially see them later, for all eternity, perhaps we'd all make more of an effort to get along now.

We all seem to have this idea that "heaven" is a place where we'll be eternally happy, but I think it's more like what C.S. Lewis described in "The Great Divorce:" heaven is really the place where God's will is "done," and if you're not cool with that, you're gonna have a heck of an adjustment period. I don't doubt that Falwell is in heaven, but he may not be very happy (at the moment) that its filled with people he disapproves of.

I was left scratching my head when I read about the "cute" one…clearly the term "cute" in the Pacific Northwest means something entirely different than it means on the east coast.

…but two cooler brothers, you'll be hard pressed to find…
