The Postmodern Anthem

Erik Guzman June 5th, 2007

Hey kids, we're postmodern. Or wait, maybe we're post-postmodern. Anyway, it doesn't really matter.

Here's the point, modernity sucked. It was too much work. Who needs all that absolute truth? It just complicates things. Postmodernity is simply way more…whatever.

This song expresses the heart and soul of what it means (if anything) to be postmodern. Think of it as a manifesto. Click below and sing along with The Postmodern Anthem. Or don't. I don't really care.

I think I might like you're song but I'm not sure besides which does the song really exist and if it does why? I think I'm joining the pre-antiquitous crowd, they're alot more upbeat.

I believe history will show that the day philosophy went into the postmodernity-ward to give birth to 'A New Kind of Christian', the only difference it made is that the sales of Macs & cigars slightly increased…

Beautiful song. Whatever.

Evidently, tuning is relative too.

Exactly.

I was going to comment on this earlier this week, but I was too distracted watching Spongebob Squarepants while reading Dostoevsky.

I know this is a necropost, but, I could not help but wonder; I am prone to do things like read G.K. Chesterton and then turn around and play World of Warcraft. Does that make me postmodern? Or just in need of thorazine?

"necropost"…I love it!

Thanks, I would (as always) love to take the credit for it, but that was a word that I stumbled-upon while reading the forums.
