When you do as many interviews as we do, a lot of great stuff ends up on the cutting room floor (more specifically, sitting on a hard drive). There's just not enough time to squeeze it all into the talk show. That's why you should subscribe to The Brown Sessions podcast. This feed is about the interview, the whole interview, and nothing but the interview.

Subscribe and get down with Brown. It's like how much more Brown could these interviews be? And the answer is none…none more Brown.

Jay Bakker

Erik Guzman July 26th, 2007

Jay Bakker spent some time talking with Steve before his mom passed away. They discussed Tammy Faye's struggle with cancer and her expression of the Spirit of Jesus on "The Surreal Life." Revolution Church, homosexuality, Jim Bakker, grace, and Jay's forgiveness of Jerry Falwell were also covered.

Join Steve for this week's edition of The Brown Sessions with Jay Bakker. For more from Jay, check out the documentary, One Punk Under God: The Prodigal Son Of Jim And Tammy Faye, and his book, The Son of a Preacher Man: My Search for Grace in the Shadows.

R.I.P. tammy faye…

i was at jay's revolution church in NY this past sunday and a guy named rev vince gave a nice message in light of her death… whether you agree with jay or not, i met some good people there who are so fed up with christianity that are now hearing about god's grace …

God bless the Bakkers! I can't wait to get to heaven and hug Tammy-Faye, and I deeply respect Jay and his dedication to the Lord and His grace. He loves others even when it's unpopular with the greater church. "I can't even believe that last statment needed saying." <
