Brian McLaren messes with my mind, and I love him for it. One book in particular, The Secret Message of Jesus, opened my eyes to the present reality of the kingdom of heaven in a wonderful way.

However, not everyone is equally thrilled with Mr. McLaren's work. Some fundamentalists have even declared that he's in league with the devil and on his way to hellfire.
