Powers, Principalities & [ping]

Erik Guzman October 31st, 2007

"Are you ready for the great atomic power?"On this All Hallows Eve edition of [ping], Satan and his minions attempt to hijack the show and find that they are no match for the power of buffoonery. Join me, Sharon, Mr. Wood, Jordo, and Jeffe as we thwart the plans of the evil one with silliness.

Also, here's that Eddie Vedder video that I mentioned on the program. It's from the movie, Into the Wild. I originally saw it over at Glenn's site. Thanks for the links and the video Glenn!

Check this out, yo! It has absolutely nothing to do with the show, but its cool. The future is coming and it is cool.

Then again what comment have I ever written that has been related to the show.

Neat video Jordo. I didnt realize that those types of displays were actually functional at this point. CSI Miami this season has had something very similar on the show. Im sure the one on the show is probably CG generated but it appears that there is something coming along like it.

Well, you posted a Louvin Brothers album. At least you've got that going for you.

Jordo November 1st, 2007

Because of the way that monitors show up on camera many times displays (CRT & LCD) are CG'd in. I don't necessarily call Microsoft products functional, per se. They are pretty though. JK

I recently wrote this in a fit of righteous indignation. Its a forum post for a game I was trying to play.

"I tried to run Dungeon Siege LOA on my new installation of Vista. Of course, because Vista is a flaming piece of crap, it isn't compatible even though it IS a microsoft game. I was about to scrap Vista (aka "Windows Retarted Edition") and go back to XP, but I figured I'd give this a try instead. I will eventually get rid of Vista and never return to it (I'd rather by a Mac — which is what my next computer will be, BTW). So that I am clear, I am a Computer Programmer. VISTA IS TRASH! DO NOT BUY IT! Anyway, I was wondering if there was a fix for this compatibility issue."

Heh, Microsoft, the only software company that is not compatible with itself.

greg from canada November 2nd, 2007

In the future there will be coffee tables that wont be compatible with games either. Atleast you will be able to load pictures onto a coffee cup over bluetooth or 802.11n. Thats progress man :)

(small voice) My laptop runs Vista… (/small voice)

In other news? All Hallows Eve/Reformation buffoonery = awesome.

Jordo November 5th, 2007

I'm so sorry for you. Vista is a hard burden to bare.

I love it when people ask me whether God could create a stone he could not lift. I answer them plainly, "Yes he can. In fact, he already has, and he called him man." Read more…
