Scandalous Freedom Archive

Erik Guzman November 12th, 2007

Here's a complete archive of the Scandalous Freedom podcasts. It's a handy reference point if you missed any. Just click the title to go to that message and download or listen. It's also a great way to share the series with friends. Simply click the "mail" icon below to send this page.

In this series, Steve Brown disabuses you of your confusion about freedom, grace and forgiveness. In his inimitable style, Steve describes how real Christianity calls us to live beyond the boundaries, bolstered by the assurance that we cannot fall beyond God's love. And real freedom…that's just plain scandalous.

If listening online isn't your thing, you can also get the entire 27-message, Scandalous Freedom series on CD. It's the perfect companion to Steve Brown's popular book, A Scandalous Freedom: The Radical Nature of the Gospel.

Dear Steve,
Thank you. You lighten a very heavy heart so often. I am scared to embrace the freedom but I'm trying. I wish I could sit with you as a confessor. I need grace so very, very badly. I've been a Christian for over 30 years and haven't been able to live up to what I've always thought a Christian "should be". I love Jesus and you.

Sometimes it's a good thing to be late for the party!

Having just found these messages, I find that while I may be 5 years late, I'm enjoying them just as much, if not more, than if I had been here when they were first broadcast.

To twist that 'party' simile into an even tighter pretzel, being late grants me the freedom to not have to stand in line at the buffet table, and the food I find is just as hot, delicious and plentiful as the hour the party started. And no one's bumping my elbow at the table…

Thanks to Steve, and thanks to the rest of caterers involved here for sticking around long enough so that I could share in the festivities.

OK, I'll stop with the bad simile now. Or was that a metaphor? I get those two confused…

:^)
