The Golden Compass – Jeffrey Overstreet
Erik Guzman December 12th, 2007
Christians have once again been called to arms in the culture war. Yup, you guessed it, we're upset about another movie. This time, we're protecting the Sovereign of the universe from The Golden Compass.
Author and film reviewer Jeffrey Overstreet joined us for this special edition of The Brown Sessions to talk about all the hubbub in the context of his balanced and insightful Christianity Today piece, Fear Not the Compass.
Overstreet has a decade of experience as a film reviewer and columnist for his popular website lookingcloser.org. He's also a weekly columnist and critic at Christianity Today's movie website and the author of Through a Screen Darkly: Looking Closer at Beauty, Truth and Evil in the Movies and the wonderful new fantasy novel Auralia's Colors.
