The Internet Monk
Erik January 25th, 2008
Blogging, podcasting, and other new media are changing our culture in dramatic ways. One obvious example is the role that the Internet, bloggers, and YouTube are playing in this year's election.
Another example (and maybe not so obvious…yet) is the way these new technologies are challenging and transforming the Church.
This week on Steve Brown Etc., we're joined by popular blogger, podcaster, and self-described post-evangelical, Michael Spencer (a.k.a. The Internet Monk).
If the Internet plays a similar role in our generation that the printing press played in the Protestant Reformation, you can be sure you'll find Michael posting his theses on InternetMonk.com.
Michael has been blogging since 2000 and he’s been featured in Time Magazine for his writing on Joel Osteen. He has a master's degree in Theology, is currently a campus minister living in a Christian community in southeastern Kentucky, and has been a teacher in churches and schools for more than 30 years.
Use one of the options below to check out the show. Also, watch The Guest Room this year for regular posts from The Internet Monk himself.
