So Cool…He's Cold
Erik Guzman February 1st, 2008
Lots of popular people join us on the talk show to discuss the problems in the Church. They are creative, hip, passionate, idealistic, and determined to take things in a new direction. They're the "cool kids," and we love what they're doing.
However, off the radar of the Christian subculture marketing machine, there are incredible people doing amazing things whose names you'll never know. They are hidden, healthy members of a sometimes sick Body. They don't write books and you'll never see them on TV, but we've decided to feature a few of them on SBE. Maybe it will give you some hope.
Mike Meagher is one of those people. He's spent the last 12 years in the earth’s coldest continually inhabited region living with and serving the Sakha people of Siberia. [For seven winter months, temperatures can drop to minus 70° F (102°F below freezing)]. This guy is really cool. In fact, so much so…he's cold (rimshot please).
