Etcetera – 10.14.08 – Polypalooza

Erik Guzman October 15th, 2008

Listen to the podcast for a better chance of understanding why this picture is here.According to Katie Couric, this year nearly 155,000 Americans will be diagnosed with colon cancer and about 52,000 will die.

Join us on this very special edition of Etcetera as we discuss my colonoscopy and my new little friend, Mr. Polyp. This program could save your life (or just make you laugh…or totally gross you out…it really depends).

You guys are too much! From now on when I recommend a colonoscopy their gonna have to listen to this podcast as a quick and dirty prep for the procedure.

You guys are awesome: theology and patient information all rolled up in one neat little package. I can get 'em "colo-prepped" and saved both at the same time! (p.s. if I buy the CD in bulk, can you throw in the Miralax with it???)

Honestly, you guys are great. Love both your shows. I really appreciate what you are doing for the Kingdom. God has used Steve's teaching on Grace in my life in a way that I could only dream about and maybe hope for. After 35 years of slugging it out on the treadmill of legalistic sanctification, God has worked an amazing miracle in my life in the last 3 months. And all of you had a part in it. (that's the short version, anyway, beacuse as you know from all your other comments like this, the long version would fill a book)
Thanks so much!!!

Hey, Eric talking about your cononoscopy…have you seen the movie Sublime yet? You really should I think you would like it. Any one who has seen it agree?

I haven't. I'll add it to the queue. Thanks for the suggestion.

I liked ta choke listening to y'all on podcast. Reminded me of Dave Berry's column on his colonoscopy .

That cracked me up too, but the best humor is stuff you can relate to in your own experience. And my, what an experience. At least I didn't need to do a bowel cleanse for a while afterward.

But the doc said it was really strange, there was so much "green" up there. But he should have known, the prep directions said I could only eat liquids and lime jello was considered a liquid.

Hmmm. Maybe next time I'll go with cherry, it'll blend in better. :-0
