Life After Death – Dinesh D'Souza on SBE

Erik Guzman September 3rd, 2010

Dinesh at The Kings CollegeDinesh D'Souza joins us on this edition of Steve Brown Etc. to talk about the evidence for life after death. No, that evidence does not include this talk show.

(If you're on the front page of the site, click "Read More" to see audio player options.)

In his new book Life After Death: The Evidence, D'Souza makes no appeal to religious faith, divine revelation or sacred texts. Instead, he draws on some of the most powerful theories and trends in physics, evolutionary biology, science, philosophy and psychology to show why it's reasonable to believe in life after death.

Dinesh D'Souza is the new president of The Kings College in New York City. He regularly debates leading atheists like Hitchens, Dennett, Singer and others. He's also the author of the New York Times bestseller What's So Great About America?, Letters to a Young Conservative, Illiberal Education and What's So Great About Christianity?

One Response to “Life After Death – Dinesh D'Souza on SBE”

D'Souza normally speaks of the culture war we are in today. Dr. Boice's topic was not relevant as I anticipated. But, a good sermon is better than no sermon at all. The link I gave yesterday:

While you were talking I was thinking about Saul and the very much surprised witch of Endor. Samuel was not a happy camper. He was having a good rest after a hard life. And the rich man who ignored Lazarus; the rich man was really an unhappy camper. And another Lazarus, whom Jesus brought back from a place of comfort; he had to live and die all over again; no wonder Jesus wept.

But the best one is about 'on the road to Emmaus'. That is something to write home about.

Luke: 30. When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"

Just more well documented examples of God's ability to Create and Recreate in a given moment of time.
