The Devil in Pew Number Seven – Rebecca N. Alonzo on SBE

Erik Guzman April 22nd, 2011

Rebecca Nichols AlonzoRebecca Nichols Alonzo never felt safe as a child. The devil in pew number seven made sure of that. He stalked and terrorized her family until one Easter weekend an armed man burst into her kitchen and shot her parents right in front of her.

If anyone had reason to harbor hatred and seek revenge, it would be Rebecca, but she tells a very different story in her book The Devil in Pew Number Seven.

Join Rebecca on this Good Friday edition of Steve Brown Etc. as we talk about the evil that left her life shattered and the forgiveness that set her free.

Hi Steve,
Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to share our story with your listeners…I pray it blesses them on this Easter weekend…forgiveness is freedom! Bless you as you continue to labor faithfully among His creation… in a real way!

Steve & Team, I was so amazed and humbled by Becky's story. I know I struggle big-time with unforgiveness. Becky's story and example challenges and convicts me of my hard heart. Thanks so much for all you guys do! Jerry

Throughout the years, I have been blessed by the interviews you prepare and present to eager ears .. willing to hear and learn! Each week, I think, "Oh, this is the best one yet." When, actually, I know that every person's story is a glimpse into the heart of God, and the composite of testimonies reveal the dream He has for His church. Oh, how He loves us!
Thank you, Rebecca, for living out the definition of forgiveness. You will be in my prayers as you go about "in His Name", setting the captives free. You are beautiful!
To The Old White Guy, Kathy, and Eric – thanks for filling my home with the Truth! You'll never know how thankful I am for you. Keep doing the hard things, OK?
Can't wait to meet you, face to face … and I'm thinking it may be sooner than later. Come, Lord Jesus, Come!
Blessings, Cyn
