This is an amazing story! Their book is fantastic — an easy read. I did not want to put it down. Finished it in two days. Well written, suspenseful, genuine, honest (very!!!!). Truly a modern-day parable. This is the type of book you could easily share with someone who may not think that he/she would benefit from a book dealilng with same-sex-attraction. And even if the reader is not there for that reason, it is a joy to read their story of how God answers the prayers of his Mom, and orchestrates the details of Christopher's life in order to bring him to brokenness.
Suggestion — buy a case of these and give them away! Charge the books to Steve Brown, why not?! (just kidding, old white man) Lives will be encouraged and changed.
And, who knows, I would not be surprised if a movie was made from this. . .

Right on Wayne. Is that phrase back in style yet or do I have to use an equivalent like ?

These types of programs on etc do get to the heart and soul of what life is all about. I was especially touched since the wife and I are attending a 'local' Chinese Church.

Beautifully bilingual of course. On those old hymns, we all finish at the same time, and praise God together. And most of them digest the sermon twice .

I feel so drawn to this culture and people so rich with history and still so rich with attention to focus on detail, intelligence, and respect for others. Boy do I need a refresher course, or maybe just understand it to begin with .

We do stand out there: an Irish lady with naturally curly hair and a Polish gentleman with a touch of inbred belligerency. I usually get a polite smile or an indirect question like 'what are you doing here'? I usually respond with 'no one has asked me to leave yet'!

One new guy from Malaysia, also Chinese, asked me the big question. When I responded as usual he looked at me with 'and'? So I responded in a Polish way, 'and what are you doing here?' He responded with 'we Chinese are everywhere!'

'Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship'.

This past Sunday, we were all waiting for the leader to get to 'Bible Study'. About 8 other people in the class, from all parts of Asia, and of course all Chinese. I asked my friend Louis openly, 'what is going on in China these days since you all seem to be coming and going from there?'

He responded in a very serious way: 'we are waiting for the axe to fall'. 'The Chinese government is tolerating Christianity, for now, and it may be a matter of time until the issue comes to a point'.

this seems to be happening all over the world. People are demanding economic and religious freedom, and there is a staunch resistance from those who want to enslave us with some rebellious ideology or some other religious point of view.

And of course Christopher Yuan was a victim of the world's influence and pressure on a young man's life. And happily, he was also a victim of a mother who prayed for him, and a Saviour who touched his heart, and a Church that is continuing to teach God's Word, and stand against, and even bring down, or hopefully convert, those who would oppose 'Christ's Great Commission'.

This is the Spirit and history of our heavenly Father's Church.

-SORRY- web format does not like my left/right pointers. Please ignore first entry.

I will be starting to read the book shortly. We cannot just take this as a nice story to read or to sell books. The church and parents need to learn how to confront and love a homosexual person while praying and believing God will bring the person to repentance and change. Thankfully, thousands of homosexuals have found freedom in Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord! Children are growing up confused and afraid and we must help them and their parents, so as the child grows older, he/she does not fall in the trap of homosexuality due to an early identity crisis that could have been dealt with and corrected. Militant homosexuals are set in indoctrinating children and that we accept their lifestyles, their beliefs, their habits or else we are intolerant bigots, and could end up as criminals. Jesus did not accept sinful beliefs and lifestyles and He confronted sinners, and we are to do it as well.
