Why Did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed Cross the Road? – Brian McLaren on SBE

Erik Guzman September 7th, 2012

Many deal with people of other faiths in one of two ways: put up militarily defensible walls or go soft on truth to get along. But there is a third way.

Brian McLaren says we should try "benevolence and solidarity." You say, "Say what?" Join Brian on SBE as we talk with him about his new book Why Did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed Cross the Road?: Christian Identity in a Multi-Faith World. Strong faith and strong inter-faith friendships can go hand-in-hand.

Brian McLaren has written over a dozen books, including his acclaimed and controversial A New Kind of Christian trilogy and A Generous Orthodoxy. Connect with Brian at BrianMcLaren.net.

One Response to “Why Did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed Cross the Road? – Brian McLaren on SBE”

Great conversation! For years I've liked the writings of McClaren. I may not agree with all of his conclusions, but I love his provocation. Steve has done the same thing for years…..challenging assumptions that have caused many of us Christ-followers to fall asleep at the wheel. Steve your ministry is a treasure. Thank you (and thank you for not being afraid to have guys like McClaren on your show – "our favorite heretic" – hilarious.)
