A Year of Biblical Womanhood – Rachel Held Evans on SBE

Erik Guzman December 7th, 2012

What is biblical womanhood? Is it having your rebellious children killed? That's prescribed in the Bible. What about polygamy, is that biblical womanhood? Or is it as simple as wearing head scarves and keeping quiet in church? How does one decide which rules to follow? Let's talk.

Apparently, Lifeway Christian Stores have not banned books because of anatomically correct descriptives: http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2012/october-web-only/has-lifeway-really-banned-word-vagina.html

Nevertheless, good and funny interview.

Are you familiar with a book entitled "The Year of Living Biblically"? It was written by A.J. Jacobs, an editor at Esquire and a secular Jew who attempted to live literally by the Bible for one year. He grew his beard so long people thought he was a member of Z Z Top. He tried to stone adulterer's tended sheep in the wilderness in Israel, and… well, you get the idea.
