<description>We hosted an orphan girl from Ukraine last summer. Her diet in the orphanage is slop--literally. I fattened her up pretty good over the summer. On the day before she was to leave I made her favorite, corn on the cob and milk. I tried to get her to eat more than she could really hold telling her she would not get this when she returns to the orphanage. She said "it's okay papa. I enjoyed it while here."
I was recently in Ukraine and walked to the store to buy the kids some milk. I bought as much as I could carry. Upon seeing the excitement and diligence at which the milk was consumed I asked Kristina "when was the last time you had milk?" She said "at your house in America." (Over a year ago!) Tears came to my eyes but was comforted as I remembered her words "It's okay papa." I am going to eat as much as I can hold as usual this thanksgiving. "It's okay."</description>
