Little Crack House on the Prairie

Erik Guzman November 6th, 2007

The first Hollywood writers strike in almost 20 years started this week, and the late-night talk shows are already being forced into reruns.

Producers of prime-time TV shows have stockpiled enough scripts to last until early next year.

However, with no new negotiations in sight, the writers here at SBE feel that our time has come. We have scads of family friendly (yet edgy) TV program ideas. Plus…we work cheap.

So Hollywood, lift up your studio heads for your salvation draweth nigh … (Read More)

Christian Vampires

Erik Guzman October 30th, 2007

When famed gothic novelist, Anne Rice (best known for her Vampire Chronicles), returned to the faith of her childhood and dedicated her future work to Jesus, she subsequently published Christ the Lord, Out of Egypt and we quickly booked her as a guest on the show.

We also produced a comedy bit that took some shots at the fact that we booked her as a guest on the show.

This is that bit.

While not bad…it does suck. But, with Halloween upon us, you may be in the mood for something weird. … (Read More)

Lil' Puffers Cigarettes

Erik Guzman October 23rd, 2007

Alright… confession time. The financial situation is pretty bad here at SBE. Quality advertisers aren't knocking down the door, and we're not sure how long we can go on like this. The temptation to fold and sell ads to less than desirable clients has been strong.

It's times like these that test an organization's moral resolve.

With that being said, please allow me the great pleasure of introducing you to our new sponsor, Lil' Puffers Cigarettes.

2008 Bad Girls of Conservatism Calendar

Matthew October 16th, 2007

Ann Coulter's biggest Achilles Heel may not be her opinions, but rather her unapologetically unvarnished delivery. In the game of politics, where reshaping the definitions of words is part of the strategy, she simply refuses to play. In the end, we may learn that Coulter isn't anti-Semitic, but anti-semantic.

Or maybe she really does hate the Jews. Who knows?

One thing is for sure, you can bank on the fact that she'll say something inflammatory every time she comes out with a ne … (Read More)

The House of Smite

Erik Guzman October 9th, 2007

Halloween is almost here. All the pagan kids are working on their costumes, decorating their houses, and dreaming of huge bags of candy.

Many Christians would urge them not to participate in the holiday, referencing its dark overtones and history. I say these children might as well enjoy themselves now, because they sure won't be having any fun when they're roasting in Hell for worshiping Satan.

If you're less calloused than I am, you may want to provide an alternative for the kid … (Read More)

News from the Future – Kim Jong Il

Erik Guzman October 2nd, 2007

North Korean leader Kim Jong Il welcomed South Korea's president to Pyongyang today, displaying scant enthusiasm while orchestrated crowds cheered the start of the second-ever summit between the divided Koreas since World War 2.

While Jong Il didn't seem very excited about the meeting, South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun optimistically commented on the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone that separates the two Koreas stating, "I will make efforts to make my walk across the bord … (Read More)
