Oh, so misguided. The ACLU defends anyone whose rights are infringed upon. even Jerry Falwell. I guess it just so happens that most of the infringement is happening to people NOT on the Religious Right.

But yeah, they've defended students who wanted to start a Bible study at their public school, when the school told them they couldn't.

I love this bit every time I hear it. If only it didn't seem to be so often true.
