Pain is a fact of life and growth. After a extremely difficult 3 or 4 years I agree with Steve; you can't run away from pain. You have to face it. When I finally faced some of my pains and fears I realized that they are not as scary as I thought they once were. Trying to avoid the pain only makes the pain stronger.

Don't get me wrong; it's still pain and it still hurts, but it's not the end of the world. It drives me to God. It drives me to my Christian friends for support. It helps me to realize that God is still there in the pain. God still loves me and always will.

Pain seems to be part of the process of growth, something you have to go through to get stronger. You'll never grow beyond your limits till you reach your limits. Face the pain, but face it with God and with friends.
