They lied to you about being a Christian.

When you first "joined the club" they promised you'd be set free. But let's get honest, you're not free. In fact, you're religious, afraid, guilty, and bound. What's worse, now that you've been in the club a while, you're stuck pretending you're better than you are. And worse than that, you prefer the security and rules of your self-imposed boundaries.

It's time for a change. You need Scandalous Freedom.

On the Scandalous Freedom Podcast, Steve Brown disabuses you of your confusion about freedom, grace and forgiveness. Real Christianity calls us to live beyond the boundaries, bolstered by the assurance that we cannot fall beyond God's love. And real freedom…that's just plain scandalous.

Some Gods Need Killin'

Erik May 21st, 2007

"The god of the cannibals will be a cannibal, of the crusaders a crusader, and of the merchant, a merchant." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

If God exists, what is he like? Almost all the inane things Christians do to remain bound and religious ultimately funnel down to what they believe about God. Many of us don't live free because we don't believe in a God who loves us enough to give us the gift of freedom.

Join Steve Brown for the Scandalous Freedom Podcast #4 as he takes on the impostors who claim to be the real God.

Thank you Erik for pointing me to this amazing resource. I keep coming back every week for another drink from the well. Thank you Steve for putting your neck and your reputation on the line for truth.

It's our pleasure. We ask only one thing…please pass it on. There are a bunch of captives that need freein'.

I'm loving the new sight and the new podcasts. I just listened to this one today and i'm wondering if I have that "Child abusing" God that you were talking about, what do i do about it? When I look at the events of my life it really seems like that is the case. When i'm not living rightly then things go bad and then when I don't respond with trusting faith that God will fix it all He just pours out more on me, or I should say "allows" more to be poured out on me. How do I get past feeling this way, I have had this struggle for a while, it was nice to hear you point it out but I still don't know how to change it. thanks for everything you guys are doing, Steve, Erik, Matt, Kathy and Sharon you have all spoken into my life at one time or another in the last year+ that i have been listening. thanks

Uh, Steve, God's still an American, though, right?
