The God of Intimacy & Action
Erik September 28th, 2007
If you're like me, you may want to be more involved in evangelism and social justice, but often find yourself overwhelmed by the pressures of everyday life. There's just no energy left to strive for holiness and God's redemptive work in the world.
Well, slack no more! Here's the surprising solution to our conundrum. Tony Campolo and Mary Darling join us today to talk about reconnecting ancient spiritual practices, evangelism, and justice.
This is one of my favorite SBE programs of all time…simple, fun, and profound. Don't miss it. It just may alter your consciousness.
Tony is professor emeritus of sociology at Eastern University, a frequent media commentator on issues of faith and politics, and Our Favorite Lib. Mary Darling is associate professor of communication at Spring Arbor University and a Protestant who has been trained in spiritual direction in the Jesuit tradition. She also teaches in her university's Spiritual Formation and Leadership graduate program. They've written a new book together titled, The God of Intimacy and Action.
