Good show guys, but I'm little freaked out and think I'm never turning the lights off in my house again. :-)

I'm not into horror flicks, but this movie - knowing that this really happened - I've gotta see. Great interview, y'all!

Great interview with Hayward, very real/

She was good, my favorite part was when Steve mentioned that he would have packed up and moved out of the haunted house and into a tent, then a pause, and she says "It would have just followed you." I'm sleeping with the lights on tonight.lol!

No doubt Carmen Reed is spiritual but don't think it's the Holy Spirit that guides her….be careful when calling her a "woman of faith" as we don't want anyone dabbling with psychics and "spirit guides" - as these are the spirits she claims to follow, not Christ.

I saw the movie Friday night after listening to this interview. It was truly terrifying!! I lost a lot of sleep this weekend and learned a big lesson.

I agree with "Faith", people need to check out Carmen Reed's website; it is clear Carmen's faith, trust, and hope is not in the Lord. I watched the Discovery Channel documentary, which she and one of her sons participated in, describing the events personally, and as a Christian, an RN, and CT mother, I couldn't stop thinking "how could she not have compassion for those boys forced to sleep in a basement that they repeated was frightening to them, no matter what the reason? And with the oldest seriously ill with cancer?" Let them sleep elsewhere! Anyway, I enjoyed your broadcast, and had my 3 sons listen with me, since the older two may see the movie-I want them to know God is in control.

Great movie, and it was a little more than I expected. For a horror flick, the acting was pretty good. I recall seeing the actors in others dramas, so it wasn't like watching a bunch of college kids running around screaming thru the whole movie. There was an element of realism that also helped; father was a former alcoholic who was in despair over his sons cancer, the matriarch who held the family together through the crisis, and a son trying to cope with his illness. It was also scary as all hell…

Whoa. From Carmen Reed's website:

"As an intuitive child, I always had an imaginary friend named Jaco. He was and still is my spiritual guide. I could always see into someone's spirit and know whether they were good or evil…
…There was a long period of time when I didn't use or allow my gift to enter my conscious mind. Jaco also told me how to jam it, so I did."

How in the world did she end up on Steve Brown's show talking about sensing demons that turned her toes red when she mopped her RED floor??!

I believe in evil spirits at work on this earth, but this interview and her website really seem to be "out there".

Ken April 9th, 2009

Yeah, come on guys. That was Jaco that was holding her hand in the demon house, not Jesus.

Erik April 10th, 2009

If we were lied to by Satan, I'm not surprised. Do you think maybe "Jaco" is Michael Jackson. If he were in her room holding her hand all night, now that would be scary.

I downloaded this interview, listened to the first half with David Hayward (big fan of his) … and then closed the file.

Based on some of the comments above, it looks like I made the right move. :D
