If you're in the Orlando area, don't miss Bill Mallonee performing live at Taste in College Park, tomorrow, April 26 at 8 PM.

Erik Guzman April 10th, 2008

I just got an update from Eric with Biking Against Human Trafficking. The week after Easter he and some friends rode their bikes from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon and back (an 8-day, 450-mile trip), with the goal of raising awareness about human trafficking and motivating people to do something about it.

You can hear the [ping] podcast with Eric here. Then check out the video for the update.

Bill Mallonee [formerly of Vigilantes of Love (and more notably The Cone Ponies)] joined me, Sharon, Mr. Wood, and Mark to talk about his music, life on the road, tough breaks, therapy, being a whore (my input of course), the music industry, starving artists, the Church, and your chance to book a Bill Mallonee Christmas house concert.

Take a listen to the conversation and the music we played on the show. I think you'll agree that it was a great time.

Then, if you're interested in bo … (Read More)

The setting:

I've been writing at a clip of about 5 songs a month for the last 6 months…it's been a way to reach both inside and out to something bigger than myself. There are moments when to draw another breath and extend a measure of mercy towards yourself is…the greatest act of faith imaginable.

There are days when the skin we live in is wrecked and crying from it's own disap … (Read More)
