We never cease to amaze me. When I read that some Christians are praying for the famously outspoken atheist Christopher Hitchens to die, well… we never cease to amaze me. New Creation vs New Car!

Guess what?

I just got a new car!

I know, I know, that's not very spiritual, but I'm in that stage where I have to tell someone and you're it. It's a black (befitting the clergy) Honda Accord and I like it a lot.

I generally run cars into the ground, often getting close to 200,000 miles out of them. My old car was a hybrid with 125,000 miles on it. If the batteries go in a hybrid, it can cost up to $4,000. Given that batteries don't last forever and on the advice of a me … (Read More)

Remembering Michael Spencer - Chaplain Mike & Jeff Dunn on SBE

Michael Spencer, aka The Internet Monk, was a uniquely honest, thoughtful and gifted communicator. We were fortunate to have him as a semi-regular on Steve Brown Etc. and one of our guest bloggers. Sadly, Michael died on April 5 after a four-month struggle with cancer. He was 53.
