On its opening weekend, October Baby grossed $1.7 million from showings in only 390 theaters to become the number eight film in the country. Not bad for a film that was rejected by major studios.

In the final days of World War II, a young soldier from Mount Vernon, NY, Ira "Teen" Palm, was sent to a Munich apartment as part of a covert mission to assassinate Hitler. The Fuehrer obviously escaped the attempt, but left behind a golden pistol engraved with his initials. Ira took the gun and what happened next just might write a new chapter in history.
