Still Truckin'

Well, I'm going to be around for awhile.

I just finished my regular physical. I have one every ten years whether I need it or not. I went through all the tests…including a colonoscopy. (I would rather go to the dentist. He only sticks things in my mouth.)

My doctor checked my blood pressure and it was very good.

His went up.

Steve Brown is a very open-minded guy, but there have been a few comedy gags we've done that pinged on the Brown-dar. These are the rarely-heard "Black Bits" and this week's best-of is one of them. It aired only once, after which we were given the clear directive "don't play that one again.'

There are deep cuts, and then there are deep cuts.

The idea for this bit began as a segment on a radio show I hosted at Samford University back in 1998. Like many college radio stations, WVSU was powered by two D batteries and had a signal that carried just beyond the handicapped spaces in the school's parking lot.

True, the college days are long gone, but at least our comedy is still sophomoric.
