Here Is the Church, There is the Steeple, Open the Door and See All the People

John H. Armstrong February 15th, 2010

As a small child there was a quaint little saying that was common. We folded out hands and said, "Here is the church." We then put our two index fingers together and said, "There is the steeple." The tramp dies, but his message changes the world of those people. The book is the story of what happens when Christians start asking the q … (Read More)

Clusterfuzzle - Susan Isaacs on SBE

Erik Guzman January 15th, 2010

Anne Lamott says that laughter is the carbonated form of holiness. If that's true, Susan Isaacs is an effervescent, snarky, super-saint.

Join Susan on this week's Steve Brown Etc. as we discuss the tragedy in Haiti, Pat Robertson, and we finally get the answer to the question, "If there's a good God, why does he allow so much pain and suffering?" How's that for comedy?!! Waka waka.

We also talk about Susan's current projects and, in her words, "the c … (Read More)
