Bill Mallonee Live in Orlando

Erik April 25th, 2008

If you're in the Orlando area, don't miss Bill Mallonee performing live at Taste in College Park, tomorrow, April 26 at 8 PM.

Bill Mallonee has released 25 albums over his 20 year career to much critical acclaim. Paste Music Magazine, in a poll conducted by both writers and artists, listed Bill as 65 in their "100 Greatest Living Songwriters Poll." Musically, his songs tend towards a very broadly defined Americana, embracing Folk-rock, Brit-pop, psychedelia and troubadour … (Read More)

Someday We All Must Die

Erik May 16th, 2007

This week, it's Buffoonery vs. Death on the no-holds-barred cage match of podcasting that is Etcetera. I don't want to give too much away, but let me say this … talking about taking a dirt nap has never been so fun. I actually spewed coffee.

Join me and Matt, along with Fancy Geoff, Zondervan Mark, and the always hilarious Marshall brothers (Dorsey kills me) as we bid farewell to Falwell and then get to planning our ideal deaths.

And speaking of kicking the bucket, pray that Sh … (Read More)

My Buddy

Erik April 25th, 2007

Come on over and hang out with your Etcetera buddies. It'll be more fun than playing with dolls and drinking caramel macchiatos.

Subscribe for a weekly get-together.

Thanks to our buddies, The Sweetkisses and Gasoline Heart for providing rockin' good music for the show. Get in touch with them and tell 'em Etcetera sent you.

Hair

Erik April 18th, 2007

Hair power is laughed at by some, but after you listen to this show, there will be no question as to hair's influence. Maybe it was doing the show at 4 ET instead of "9 at night". But the jury is still out on that. Personally, I think it's the hair.

Listen to the show. Then subscribe and become one with the Internet Stream of Collective Consciousness.

Thanks again to Band Marino. They provided the background music from their album The Sea and the Beast.

And thanks to our … (Read More)

Why Are You Running Away?

Erik April 4th, 2007

Two very special artists from Orlando were featured on this Holy Week edition of Etcetera.

We opened and closed with local favorites Band Marino. Go to bandmarino.net to hear more of their stuff, see band members frolicking in nature (and tight pants), and get tour date info. Then, buy their album, The Sea and the Beast.

You'll have to listen to the show to hear the other artist.

Beyond that stuff, we took a trip down autistic lane with Sharon, gave you a sneak peek of the new SBE open, g … (Read More)

Paper or Plastic?

Erik March 28th, 2007

On this week's show, we finally tackle the tough questions, everything from 'does the state of being observed fundamentally affect the absolute nature of matter' to 'paper or plastic?' Seriously, if a plastic grocery bag chokes and kills a two-tailed-tata-nymph in the middle of the ocean and there's nobody there to see it, do we really exist?

Also, big news! There's now $1000 of matching money available for the Feed 'em Dummy project. When you donate mo … (Read More)
