Some months ago I read an intriguing editorial in the Wall Street Journal that got me to thinking about what I have seen in the church over the course of my lifetime. The editorial addressed a story about a University of Wisconsin lecturer, Kevin Barrett, who believes that the U. S. government actually staged the September 11 terrorist attacks. Be Still and Be Loved

The only people who get any better are the people who know that if they never get any better, God will love them anyway. What's more, God will not only love you if you don't get better; He will teach you that getting better isn't even the issue. His love is the issue.

Give Up

The desire for perfection is a two-edged sword. On one hand, the very presence of the desire assures one of being alive in Christ. On the other hand, perfectionism can turn you into a bound-up, burned-out fake.
